A woman was hit by a light rail train Wednesday evening in Sacramento, and investigators say she stepped in front of it intentionally.
Alice Alspektor, 66, walked out of St. Peter?s Guest Home And Residential Care Facility some time after 9:30 Tuesday evening. Alspektor?s disappearance triggered a Silver Alert. She suffers from bipolar disorder and takes medication for it.
The facility didn?t know she was missing until the next morning.
So far, investigators don?t know where she was all day Wednesday but later in the evening she ended up 1.3 miles from the home at the Watt / I-80 light rail train station. Regional transportation officials say Alspektor intentionally walked in front of the train.
They also say there is video of the accident, but won?t say more because the incident is till under investigation.
As of right now, the home is not in trouble for Alspektor walking off the property.
